Yifan Yan joined the group in January, 2024. He received his BS degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) in 2019. Following that, he pursued a doctoral degree at State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering in BUCT, under the supervision of Acad. Xue Duan. His research direction is electrochemical hydrogen production coupled with organic oxidation, including electrocatalytic upcycling of biomass and plastic wastes. Currently, he is dedicated to preparing single-atom/LDHs synergistic catalysts for electrooxidation polyols to C2+ products.
Beyond the laboratory, Yifan finds joy in cooking, traveling, and watching movies.
