Micromeritics AutoChem II 2920 is chemisorption analyzer which can performs pulse chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO), and reaction analyses. It has four internal temperature-controlled zones which can be heated independently up to 150 °C. This prevents condensation in the flow path and allows studies to be performed with vapors. It has clamshell furnace which can heat the quartz sample reactor to 1100 °C. AutoChem II offers four gas inlets each for the preparation, carrier, and loop gases permit four-gas sequential experiments and four high-precision mass flow controllers provide extremely accurate, programmable gas control. It conducts a comprehensive array of highly precise experiments which can provide valuable information about the various properties of catalysts and catalyst supports such as active metal surface area, surface acidity, distribution and strength of active sites, BET surface area, and more.
