Adrian completed his Graduated in Chemistry at the University of Córdoba (UCO, Spain) in 2014. In 2015 he completed his Master's Degree in Chemistry, working in collaboration with the Grupo Puma company on the synthesis and application of photocatalytic building materials to remove the nitrogen oxides (NOx) pollution.

Currently, he belongs to the FQM-214 Group (UCO) and he is finishing his PhD on new functional inorganic materials for the prevention of pollution in heritage and urban habitat. He started the collaboration with the DOH Group in 2019, with a three-month visit, working on the synthesis and characterization of Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs, AMO/AIM-LDHs) for its application in the photocatalytic removal of NOx gases. Right now, he is in the DOH Group with a 6-month visit funded by the Government of Spain (FPU fellowship), working on Visible-light responsive LDH photocatalysts.

When he is not in the lab, he loves playing football, going out with friends and family, and visiting new restaurants.
